Melissa Mars was in Los Angeles for BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, a short film she wrote, directed by the creative and talented Marco Bottiglieri, with who she collaborates for the second time after starring in his short film POLLY, coming soon in festivals. 
Produced by Ashla Soter, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER stars Melissa Mars in the role of Mara alongside the Irish actor Sam Lucas Smith in the role of Matthias… with a crew that faced bravely the winds, cold and other challenges encountered up that mountain of Riverside, California… Now in post. More to come “sooner than later”…



FESTIVAL VOIX D'ETOILES' JURY

Melissa Mars is proud to serve as a judge on the International French Film Festival Voix d’Étoiles’ jury that will take place in Port-Leucate, in the South of France, from the 24th to the 28th of October 2018.

Voix d’Étoiles is an international film festival of animated movies, this year the official selection includes The Indestructibles 2, just recently released, the world premiere of Pachamama... More about the selection here.

DEADLY DELUSION IN FRANCE ON TF1

After Lifetime in the USA, in France on June 15th!

Deadly Delusion, a thriller alongside Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite), Teri Polo (Meet the Parents, The Fosters)... and Melissa Mars in a supporting role, premiered in the USA on Lifetime on January 13 2018. This movie is Melissa Mars' American TV debut! 

And now, the movie premieres in France on TF1 on Friday June 15th 2018 at 1:55pm with the title Quelqu'un me suit

FIRST FEATURE FILM - First Draft

Melissa Mars is in re-writing mode for her first feature film, for which she just wrapped a first draft. She has been writing since the age of 16, short-movies, movie/TV concept ideas and songs! Now it's her first steps into writing a feature film.

Melissa Mars just wrapped Polly, a short movie directed by Marco Bottiglieri, a young director named in VARIETY as one of the top up-and-coming filmmakers who represents the future of film, media and entertainment, Marco Bottiglieri has directed and produced hundreds of nationally acclaimed films, commercials, and music videos since he was 15! 

Staring alongside Danny Boaz (Six, The Great Debaters), Bill Ferris, Megan Williams.

Melissa Mars is on both sides of the camera for The Last Touch, a sci-fi short-movie she wrote, directed and starred in alongside James Kacey, with Yaniv Glaser as the cinematographer. Melissa wrapped the pilot of the original series "Puzzled", a comedy by director-writer Michael Bergmann (Influence, Milk and Money).

And as a bonus, Melissa has an unreleased song featured in the opening titles!!!



IN PREPARATION: "HAUNTED MEMORIES"
A dark, deep character for Melissa in “Haunted Memories”, in this pilot in preproduction directed by Xavier Ybarra.
What is it about? A schizophrenic haunted by his wife (Melissa Mars) seeks revenge on her killer in a city where corrupt men are powerful and untouchable. To be shot soon.



SHORT MOVIE "PLUNDER"

CURSE OF MESOPOTAMIA - Worldwide release!

After the release in the US and Canada last summer, and the premiere on the silver screen in Acapulco at FICA, Curse of Mesopotamia is now available on iTunes WORLDWIDE! Subtitled in each country's language, including France, U.K, Germany, Italy… all Europe, South America and Asia…

Directed by Lauand Omar, it is the first international movie to be shot in Kurdistan, Iraq. The 2-week prerelease in Iraq, ranked the movie #2, right after Spectre, the last James Bond! :)

Melissa plays two roles, the evil Queen Lale 500 BC, and the fun over-the-top Amira driven to madness in present days.

Melissa Mars went to Mexico for the first time ever to attend the Latin-American premiere of Curse of Mesopotamia at FICA, the International Film Festival of Acapulco.

The multi-awarded science fiction movie Virtual Revolution got a best ensemble cast nomination, including Melissa Mars, at the First Glance Film Festival of Philadelphia, PA!

As a reminder, Melissa Mars received in 2014 her first American award "Best supporting actress" in the multi-awarded horror comedy "The Cabining" at the Fantastic Horror Film Festival in San Diego, CA!
